Born: Gabriel Lucatero
April 29, 1985
Residence: Santa Barbara, California
Genre: His primary focus is horror and transgressive fiction but also likes to experiment with other related genres, such as fantasy, science fiction, gothic, post-apocalyptic fiction, suspense, black comedy, and crime fiction.
Influence: Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Franz Kafka, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Richard Matheson, Charles Bukowski, T.C. Boyle, Chuck Palahniuk, Sue Grafton, Jonathan Kellerman, Michael Connelly and Lee Child.
From an early age, Lucatero nursed a penchant for making up stories but always thought of it as a hobby. He was terrible at sports, so writing was the next thing he could do to pass the time. However, he considered writing as more of a hobby after having been fired on more than one occasion, realizing that holding a sneeze was easier than keeping a job.
Now, thanks to the newer and easier internet world, and some rejection letters from publisher all over the country, he decided to give self-publishing a try. So far so good.
If you are into fiction that will make you cringe a little, you are in the right place.
